In the presence and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Saeed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan Ramadan Football Championship was launched at Baniyas Sports Club.

He was received by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Baniyas Sports Club, and members of the Board of Directors.

The tournament is held under the supervision of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Salem Al Wahshi, Head of the Office of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Tahnoun bin Muhammad Al Nahyan for Initiatives and Events, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee for the tournament.

The ceremony began with the National Anthem played by the Police Musical Band, then the party sponsor shook hands with the players and gave permission to start the final matches of the tournament, then His Highness inspected the activities accompanying the tournament
The tournament is held in a five-way system, and all the rules and regulations of the International Futsal Federation apply to its matches.

The tournament started with the participation of eight teams, four of which qualified for the finals, namely Abu Dhabi Police - Al Asimah - Al Ain - Capitano.

Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Al Wahshi confirmed that all the elements of success were provided for the tournament, and large financial prizes were allocated to the winning teams.

A number of accompanying events were organized on the sidelines of the tournament in the context of the celebration of the holy month of Ramadan and its spiritual atmosphere.
