Baniyas Club held its pre-match press conference ahead of the upcoming clash against Al Nasr Club in Round 14 of the ADNOC Pro League, with head coach Daniel Isăilă and the player Shukurov addressing the media.

Romanian head coach Daniel Isăilă described the upcoming fixture as an important test with the start of the second round of the season, noting that both teams know each other well after two previous encounters this campaign.

“We know Al Nasr very well, having faced them twice this season. In last season’s UAE President’s Cup, we did a great job, won the match, and qualified. In the league game played last January, we lost narrowly despite controlling the match and creating many chances,” Isăilă said.

He added:
“Al Nasr have made several changes, especially in defense, and brought in new players. That means we must be ready for every detail. In matches like these, small details make the difference.”

Reflecting on lessons learned, the Baniyas coach stated:
“In the first game we were well organized, effective, scored twice, and qualified. The second match was more open, we had to chase the game and created many opportunities. We need to learn from that and be more clinical in front of goal.”

Speaking about the start of the second round, Isăilă expressed optimism:
“This match marks the beginning of the second round, and we are optimistic and motivated to deliver a strong performance and achieve a positive result.”

Isăilă also welcomed new signing Moanes Dabour, wishing him success with the team.

Regarding squad availability, the coach confirmed the return of the Olympic national team players, while Khalfan Mubarak and Alhassan Koroma remain sidelined due to injury, and Camara will miss the match through suspension after accumulating yellow cards.

Midfielder Shukurov underlined the team’s readiness for the encounter, saying:
“We are preparing well for this match and we want to start the second round with a positive result.”

He added:
“Our goal is to make a strong start, achieve a positive outcome, and help bring Baniyas back to its natural position.”
